Buca Dodici has been unobtrusively built into the hillside along the winding roads of the eco-friendly and esteemed Shaffer’s Mill community. The organic elements that circle the home have been incorporated into the architecture inside and out to create a sense of accord between the natural and the modern uniting materials like stone, weathered wood, and iron. This grand, smartly composed mountain home offers 4 beds and 5.5 baths and can sleep up to 11 guests.

The aesthetic and elemental selections from the façade have been cohesively integrated into the interiors; this open main living area draws the surrounding woods inside, from the slate mantle to the aged wood detailing. The slopes on Mt. Pluto can be seen from the comfortable sectional in front of an oversized fireplace. Adjacent is the dining area, backed by a wall of windows that reveal towering evergreens that shade the property. Sliding glass doors open onto a large patio outfitted with an outdoor kitchen, barbecue grill, sitting and dining area, and sweeping views of the surrounding mountain forests.

The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen claims the remainder of the large communal living space. With minimalist components that resist conventional notions of luxury, this space imparts opulence in simplicity. Designed with the professional in mind, it provides plentiful prep space, industrial stainless-steel and concrete countertops, and high-end appliances. It is equipped with everything necessary to prepare for a large gathering.

Pass the main floor wet bar, powder room, and private office to find the master suite. This ample and open space has a king bed, balcony with a private hot tub, fireplace, flat-screen TV, and sitting area. The ensuite bath has dual sinks, a large soaking tub, a steam shower, a fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. On the same level is the first of the three other guest suites. This second guest suite has a queen bed, balcony access with views of the bordering golf course, a TV, and an ensuite bath. Down the wood and metal staircase on the lower level, pass the main entry to find two more guest suites. The third features a queen bed, patio access, fireplace, flat-screen TV, and an ensuite bath. The final guest suite provides a full bed and two twin bunks, with patio access and an ensuite bath.
